About the event

About Exhibition :

It's French and according to Wiktionary it means "good time".

The pandemic has been - and will continue to be - a time of unprecedented struggle and upheaval for most of us. Even though we are experiencing hardship and adversity, we have been able to find small bits of joy and meaningful activities. During this pandemic period, Ann took up a hobby, or maybe revived a long-lost part of herself: she draws every day. Drawing reminded Ann of her satisfaction with getting better at realism, the more exact rendering of the plants as it does in front of her. If the pandemic quarantine can be said to have even a single "good time", it was this enforced engagement and a renewed focus on the things that surrounding us.

About the Artist :

Ann

Ann is a native of Hong Kong, a normal office ladie. When living in a high living index place, like Hong Kong, it is believed people are quite difficult to earn their daily bread merely by so called "artist/painter". Therefore, in order to make a living, Ann picked other subjects than art in university. Yet her original intention towards art and painting was never forgotten. After graduated from university, she got chances to learn from different artists to create by using various media, including Chinese ink, oil, and acrylic painting. And, recently, Ann devoted into botanical colored pencil drawings by self-learnt. Ann keeps painting and drawing every day and so far, she got more than 100 art pieces. She hopes to share this joyfulness with others in her first solo art exhibition.
