「息」這個字是有自和心組成

顧名思義休息需要全心全意、靜心才能治愈。休息是必須的, 並不是脆弱的表現。因為休息是讓我們能夠走更遠的路。Christy延續 2020年“Unpeeling”中的裝置藝術為藍本, 創造出“Resting is Healing -息”這個展覽。這次與Ubu Deco Gallery合作, 首次在香港展示她的作品, Christy希望可以打造一個抒發情感的空間讓心靈得以休息, 因為能夠休息亦是一種祝福, 讓大家都懂得珍惜休息的時光。 創作藝術的過程是我的私密空間, 可以在這裡得以恢復、歇息和治愈。這是我想和大家分享的感覺亦是我小小的祝福。

Resting needs to be wholehearted to heal. It is intentional and vulnerable. We all take courage to face the present and seek the breathing zone. In the exhibition "Resting is Healing", Christy continues an investigation started in "Unpeeling" (2020) exhibition, an installation that the artist's desire for promotion shares human connection metaphorically. Partnering up with the Ubu Deco gallery, Christy is grateful for having the exhibition establish a psychological and emotional resting space to exhibit her artworks to Hong Kong for the first time. Through her art, she wants to say it is a blessing to truly rest your body and soul. The process of creating art is my intimate space where I restore, rest, and heal. I want to share this feeling with you like my little blessings.

關於藝術家 / About the Artist :

盧樂琳(Christy)是一位多媒體藝術家，她的作品涉及不同的當代藝術。 她畢業於薩凡納藝術與設計學院。在香港出生長大，直至20歲移居於美國。她的作品亦多次於大型國際展覧及畫廊展出。Christy 今年在紐約Kunstraum LLC 擔任藝術家駐留。更於獲得芝加哥 Woman Made Gallery頒發「最具代表女性獎」。

Christy Lo is a multimedia artist whose work deals with different forms of connection while also reflecting on the contemporary world. She received a B.F.A. in Fine art Painting from Savannah College of Art and Design in March 2020. Born and raised in Hong Kong, she moves to Georgia at the age of 20. Her works are exhibited in group exhibitions internationally, including galleries and international art fairs. Christy contributed as an artist residency in the Kunstraum LLC, Brooklyn, NY. In the same year, she also won the Represented Woman Award by Woman Made Gallery in Chicago, IL

2015 : Affordable Art Fair Hong Kong.

2017 - 2021 : Open Studio Night at SCAD in the United States.

2021 : First solo show Unpeeling/施 exhibited in Savannah,GA.
