Amy Kim
Amy Kim is a contemporary visual artist based in Melbourne, Australia. Born in Seoul, South Korea. At the core of Amy’s practice is an exploration of vulnerability—how emotions, memories, and relationships shift and evolve over time. Her paintings are deeply rooted in personal and collective experiences, capturing the impermanence of life’s moments and the nuanced layers of human identity.
Her use of color is both intentional and intuitive, serving as a language of emotion and meaning. Deep, rich blacks—often achieved with traditional Korean ink—convey depth and introspection, while bursts of vivid hues symbolize
moments of joy, tension, or transformation.
